Notes from the Outreach Team

If you weren’t at our fellowship Christmas Luncheon, we missed you! After a great play by our youth and support team we sat down to a delicious covered dish meal. Thank you to everyone who set up tables, brought food, stayed to eat and visit, cleaned up

afterward and carried off the trash. I’ll bet a part was missed, and if so, thank you for your contribution.

The Outreach Committee is always open to new project ideas and assistance with on-going activities. A planning meeting for 2019 will be held after worship on Jan. 13. Anyone interested in sharing ideas for ways our congregation can reach out to the community please stay for the meeting. Our goal is to briefly review 2018’s activities and put together a schedule of events through April.

Sympathy

Our Christian love and sympathy is extended to Carol Stone and all the family at the death of Carol's husband and our dear member and brother in Christ, Jim Stone. A

Celebration of Live Service was held December 29 at Amazing Grace. May the comforting presence of our Lord Jesus be with each of you in this most difficult time.

New Member

John Renn was received as a member of the Amazing Grace Church Family on Sunday December 23. He was a former member of Mt. Calvary in Morganton.

Prayers

A tree fell on Austin and Lori Haas' house in Hickory a couple months ago doing extensive damage. They are unable to stay in it and have not been coming to

Hickory. That is the reason they have not been to worship here in awhile. Please

keep them in yours prayers as they work on getting their house livable again.

Thank you to...

...the Worship Team and others who decorated for Advent and Christmas.

...Jennifer Berry and those who worked with our children to prepare and present their Christmas program.

... the Fellowship Committee and Gail Wilcox for all their work this past year in hosting our various meals for different occasions.

...those who donated a poinsettia to enhance the beauty of our worship center during the Christmas Season.

...those who filled an Advent Calendar Basket forSouth Caldwell Ministries.

...all the Members of Amazing Grace for all you do no matter whether it be big or small, thank you. We couldn't accomplish what we do without everyone's help!

Thank you from the Hickory Soup Kitchen

Friends,

Thank you for collaborating with us in ministering to the needy in our community. Generous gifts like yours of the toiletries and shower kits make it possible for us to help meet the increasing needs of those who are hungry and needy in our area. You really are a blessing for our guests. Thank you again for all you do.
